New Year's Comics begin!

I guess they celebrated New years in B.C. but then I guess if they can celebrate Christmas, why not?

DAY 13

Today is a special treat as its the COMPLETE (might be missing 1 chapter as my source had the same strip on two different days!) Little Mermaid Christmas strip! Starting in 1960, Disney ran the 4 week strip called The Disney Christmas Story. This era featured many different properties interacting Like Peter Pan and the seven dwarves. This tradition ended in 1987, so why am I bringing it up in connection to a strip that ran in 1997 and featuring a property not introduced until 1989? Because in 1992 they brought back this tradition with "The Disney Holiday Story!" Unlike the original, this series only featured one property. I am currently trying to find all the parts from The Lion King and Hunchback ones. The Little Mermaid was the final strip of this incarnation. One note is that cause they had so little amount of days, there are times where in my opinion that it feels rushed. Without further ado:

DAY 26 - POST 100!

Wow how time flies huh? A little over 2 years ago, I started this comic blog and we're on 100 posts! So as I said yesterday, only 2 strips will be Halloween today and they are re-posts. The reason for this is that the very first comic strip that I ever posted here was: So I decided to celebrate this blog by doing Disney comic strips! First up are the re-posts to keep it Halloween related! Posted 2 years ago! Posted last year! And now some non-Halloween but very much Disney! The next one is currently Disney owned but wasn't at the time: Due to the episodic nature I am skipping Treasury Tales (adaptions of movies), Star Wars, Spidey, Howard the Duck (which I have not found in the archives yet), and the Hulk. They also did Christmas tales every year and there was also Brer Rabbit. I have some of those but will never share them due to the controversial nature of song of the South. Day 1

Welcome to my annual Halloween countdown! This year to separate it from my other blog Alexis' Treasures , this year the event is called "Comic Strip Terrors" instead of "31 Days of Halloween", which my other blog uses! Today we will start the countdown with just about everyone's favorite witch Broom Hilda! The Broom Hilda strip began on April 19, 1970 and is still running! It was created by Russel Myers and is very well known! In fact, she appeared in many Filmation shorts in the 70s! Of the 5 strips today, 3 I know that I have never shared, one i'm not sure of, and the other (pumpkin) is much better quality!
